Christopher Ashton Kutcher (born February 7, 1978) is an American actor and model born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His height is 1.87m (6' 1.5"). Ashton has an older sister, Tausha and fraternal twin, Michael, who is younger by 5 minutes. He majored in biochemical engineering at the University of Iowa in 1997 but dropped out to pursue modeling. He had a job sweeping the floor at a General Mills plant. He once was so poor, he donated blood for money. Cameron Crowe said that Ashton Kutcher couldn't act. He got arrested at 18 years old for breaking into his school with a friend and stealing money from a the vending machine. He was kicked out of the school play because he was caught drinking beer.
Kutcher began his career as a model and later moved to television. He was discovered in a bar in Iowa City, Iowa. A month before he was discovered, he had planned to move to Hollywood, but was asked to go back to college by his mother. Kutcher achieved stardom on the Fox television series That '70s Show and has gone on to star in his own MTV hidden camera show Punk'd.
Kutcher has starred in the films Dude, Where's My Car? (2000) and more recently Just Married (2003). He also tried out for the role of Danny Walker in Pearl Harbor, but lost out to Josh Hartnett.
He is currently dating actress Demi Moore; their age difference is 15 years and has been a frequent subject of gossip in popular magazines. He also dated actress Brittany Murphy. Ashton had a fraternal twin brother, Michael, who was born with cardiomyopathy, a deadly disease that eats away at the heart's muscles. Michael was given about six hours to live, but survived with a transplant.
